How do I import the CSV file into a spreadsheet or accounting app?
- Open your spreadsheet or accounting app.
- Choose File then Import (or your accounting tool’s transaction-import screen) and pick the CSV.
- Map the Date, Description and Amount columns if the tool asks, then finish the import.
CSV is the universal format — it carries no bank identity, so any tool that imports transactions will accept it, and you can open it to eyeball the rows before importing.
What's in the CSV file?
Each transaction becomes one row with the posting date, the description exactly as PNC printed it, the amount with the right sign, and the running balance when the statement prints one. The opening and closing balances are checked against the total, so an incomplete extraction is caught before you import.
Is my PNC statement uploaded anywhere?
No. The PDF is opened by code running in your browser and never leaves your device — the byte counter on the converter above stays at zero the whole time. There is no account and no sign-up to convert.
Frequently asked questions
- Does the PNC statement have to be a downloaded PDF, or can I use a scan or photo?
- Both work. A statement downloaded from PNC online banking is read from its text and is the most reliable. A scan or a phone photo is read on your device with OCR and checked so the totals reconcile.
- Is my PNC statement uploaded?
- No. The file is opened by code running in your browser and never transmitted. The byte counter on the page shows zero throughout.
- What does the CSV file contain?

- How many statements are free?
- Three a month, with every export format. Pro removes the limit.
