Turn a bank statement into clean, reconciled books.
Drop a PDF, scan, or photo. LedgerClip reads it on your own device and hands back dates, descriptions, signed amounts and running balances — as CSV, Excel, or a QuickBooks file that reconciles to the penny. Nothing is uploaded.

What LedgerClip does
LedgerClip turns a bank or credit-card statement into bookkeeping-ready data in three moves: it reads the file on your device, rebuilds the transaction table, and checks that the numbers reconcile before you export. It handles PDFs, scans, and phone photos from 24 banks and writes six formats.
Reads PDFs, scans, and photos
A downloaded statement is read straight from its text, exactly as printed. A scan or a phone photo is read on your device with built-in OCR. Either way it never leaves your browser.
Checks its own work
Opening balance plus every transaction is compared with the closing balance. If they disagree you see it before you import, not after your books are off by a penny.
Files QuickBooks accepts
The QBO export carries a registered bank ID and stable transaction IDs, so QuickBooks recognises the file and skips duplicates when you import the same month twice.
How a browser-based converter compares
A browser-based converter processes the statement on your own device, so the file is never uploaded; most online converters send it to a company server first. The trade-off is that a hosted tool keeps a shared history for you, which LedgerClip does not.
| Capability | LedgerClip (in your browser) | Typical upload-based converter |
|---|---|---|
| Where the file is read | On your device | On a company server |
| Statement data uploaded | Never — 0 bytes | Yes |
| Reconciliation check | Every file, to the penny | Rarely |
| Scans & photos | Read on-device with OCR | Varies |
| Export formats | 6 (CSV, Excel, QBO, OFX, QIF, QuickBooks CSV) | Varies |
| Cost | Free for 3/mo; $12/mo unlimited | Often a monthly or per-page fee |
Best for privacy-sensitive books: a browser-based converter, because the statement never leaves your device. If you need a shared, hosted history of every conversion across a team, a server-based tool may fit better.
Pricing that ends when you say so
3 statements a month are free, no account needed. Pro is unlimited, and you cancel any time from the link in your receipt — no lock-in, no surprise renewal.

Questions
- Is my statement really not uploaded?
- Correct. The file is read by code running in your browser and never sent anywhere. Open your browser’s network tools while you convert: you will see no upload, and the byte counter on the page stays at zero.
- What can it read?
- PDFs you download from online banking, plus scans and phone photos (read on your device with OCR). Downloaded PDFs are the most reliable.
- Will the file import into QuickBooks?
- Yes. The QBO export uses the OFX format QuickBooks Web Connect expects, with a registered bank ID and a stable ID per transaction so re-imports don’t duplicate.
- What does it cost?
- 3 statements a month are free with no account. Pro is $12/month or $79/year for unlimited, cancel any time.
