Getting your Citi credit card statement

Log in to Citi Online, open the card, click the Statements (PDF) link, choose the statement date, and download; statements older than 12 months may need to be requested. It downloads as a text PDF that LedgerClip reads directly, and a scan or photo works too. See Citi's official statement help.

What you get

Each transaction becomes one row with the posting date, the description exactly as Citi printed it, the amount with the right sign, and the running balance. The opening and closing balances are checked against the total so an incomplete extraction is caught before import. On a credit card, purchases come out as negative amounts (money spent) and payments or credits as positive, and the QBO export is written as a credit-card account so QuickBooks files it correctly.
